What is domestic infant adoption?

Domestic infant adoption is when the birth parents, the infant, and the adoptive parents live within the United States. All of the adoption process is regulated by State laws.

At the Gladney Center for Adoption, our Domestic Infant Adoption Program serves families who wish to adopt an infant and women who have contacted Gladney to make an adoption plan for their child.

Those that are interested in adopting through this program must meet the following guidelines:

  • Openness to the diverse backgrounds of children available
  • Live in the United States
  • One parent must be a U.S. citizen
